As with I think every year since I started blogging, here is my post with costumes and carved pumpkins. Your enjoyment is probably directly proportional to the familiarity you have with my family.
I want to start the pumpkin I am the most proud of. Dela carved this one completely on her own. I know it may be difficult to see but it is the world. She got the stencil, used a pin to outline and carved it all herself.
It really was much more impressive at night, which is when she took a picture.
Ciaran wanted a simple smiley face. I was happy to oblige.
Xavier drew out what he wanted.
August did his own. I’m assuming it is like the Eye of Sauron.
For Grace I decided something whimsical.
And keeping it simple for the next one. It may seem lame, but when you’re carving 5 of them, stick with what you can do.
Tevye wanted a vampire. He sort of drew this out, and was quite happy with the result.
On to the costumes!
Grace used one of our older costumes and went out as a spider.
Xavier was a ninja.
Tevye was a witch. The wand was a gift, but not the reason he wanted to be a witch.
August and Ciaran were Paul Allen and Bill gates.
Dela went out with friends and I didn’t get a picture of her in her costume. I did, however, get her to put it on so I could get a picture today. Sure, it’s two days after Halloween, but this is what she looked like.
Here is the view from the back. Note the tail.
That’s it for this year.
