Day 23 – A Song You Want To Play At Your Wedding
“All The Lovers” – Kylie Minogue
Too late, I’m already married.
You can tell this list of 30 days/30 songs was written by or for teenagers. This doesn’t allow for the possibility of being married, and other questions seem rather juvenile. That said, it’s still a good exercise to make one think about what music they listen to and why.
So I should say, for this entry, a song that was played at my wedding. Unfortunately that’s not going to be the case as we didn’t have a normal reception. There was no disc jokey, no dance floor, and the band was a string quartet or quintet, I don’t remember exactly as I wasn’t paying that much attention to them, my in-laws took care of that aspect of the wedding. It was nice background music, and appropriate for what we had (we got married at noon).
If I was to do it over again? Gosh, I don’t think I could. We have too many kids to have anything but a quick wedding with a limited reception without it turning into a children’s party. If, however, there were to be a reception, I’d have music that would simply be background noise (I have a number of great instrumental albums) or I’d have dance music. That’s why I chose this. Maybe I’d have it, maybe I wouldn’t, but it’s a decent song and fits the requirements.
