Peanut Butter

The nice thing about living in Seattle is the wealth of “health” food options at regular grocery stores. I know I’m in a privileged situation to be a vegetarian. I’ve visited many places across this country and found it difficult to eat. Yes, in restaurants which are usually “friendly” to vegetarians.

I say this because Seattle has always been a place where I can easily get what I need as far as foods go, and not just meat substitutes. Part of that general health conscious food consumption has to do with peanut butter. I’ve tried several different types over the years, but the one I always keep going back to is Adams.

Why? Because it doesn’t add sugar. Seriously, why do you add sugar to peanut butter? This isn’t a food that I need to be organic or whatever, but adding stuff that isn’t needed? No thanks/ Peanuts and a little salt (for consistency).

I would probably give up peanut butter if I had to buy it with sugar in it.
