Tuesday was a day off for this kids. Instead of a mid-winter break they got a couple of extra days around the President’s Day holiday off from school. Since Seattle Public Schools were in session, I figured it was a perfect opportunity to head down to the Seattle Aquarium without worrying too much about the crowds.
My kids attend Catholic school, not public school, and that’s a conversation for another time.
This wasn’t a spur of the moment activity, it was planned. I put the call out to a few others we would be headed down to the Aquarium, and since we had the Millennium Falcon, we had extra space to take more people. Several folks said they would come along, then backed out, but ultimately two of August’s classmates came with us.
That’s me, and six kids.
My plan was to leave early, arrive about when the Aquarium opened, stay for an hour and a half or so, then head back home for lunch. For the most part, it all worked out very well. Thankfully I was able to park across the street from the Aquarium. not only was this nice, but somebody offered me their parking stub from the pay machine as they were leaving. Free parking!
All in all it was an enjoyable morningĀ Here’s a few pictures.
