I don’t celebrate Earth Day.
Does that make me a jerk? Maybe, but I’m comfortable with what I do and who I am.
Allow me to explain.
To me, one day isn’t effective. I was in Fred Meyer this morning and they turned off some of the lights “in honor of Earth Day.” Why not just cut back on the number of lights that are lit the rest of the year?
Carpool today. For Earth Day. Why not carpool every day?
This is why I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. If I am going to make a change, I make it. I don’t wait for some arbitrary date.
Don’t do something special for Earth Day. Change your behavior. Be nice to the planet every day.
