I haven’t had as much time and opportunity to blog about the trip as I had initially planned. I thought I would have more time, but that’s not the case. Almost every day we’re out of the house by 10 in the morning and by the time we return and get dinner and the kids in bed, either I’m too tired to do anything or I head out to the pub with dad.
There have been some blog posts (if you’ve been paying attention) and I’ve also been posting most of the pictures on my personal Facebook account, but they haven’t necessarily been matched up for time, meaning, one blog post will be from an event or location and the posted pictures from another. And this is always a few days behind what I’ve been actually doing.
Now I’m at a point where my picture posting and blog posting are so far behind in what I’ve been doing I’m sort of lost and not able to keep track of where I am in which virtual timeline.
Today we’re not doing much of anything. This is supposed to be a “rest day” after one of the biggest treks we’ve done so far, 2 and a half hours to Bru Na Boinne, visiting the site, then 2 and a half hours back. It was a fantastic and worthwhile excursion, but the kids are complaining about how much time we are spending in the car.
Hopefully today I can get caught up in posting some pictures, then maybe I can sketch out some blog posts so I can keep track of what I’ve recorded and what I havne’t.
As I type this out it’s 11:30 in the morning. The kids are out back in the … well, I’m not sure what you’d call it, it’s not a street or alley, but it’s a dead end for cars between the houses. Anyway, the kids are out there playing with some other kids. I don’t know what the rest of the day will hold, but I’m hoping it involves another cup of coffee soon.
