Plenty has happened in the last week, not the least of which was Xavier staying home for 3 days from preschool due to his being sick. Here are a few of the other highlights from the past week.
Friday was the Cross Country Pumpkin Run, an event that is supposed to come at the end of the season. This year it didn’t. Scheduling just didn’t work out this year. More on that in a bit.
Here is August coming to the finish line. The last bit of the course is lined with pumpkins and afterwards each runner, in grade turn, gets to pick out a pumpkin.
Ciárán would have finished sooner had he not held back to hang out with his friend.
Déla ran as well but I didn’t get a good picture of her. The next day she had her first gymnastics meet. I wasn’t able to attend, but Laura did and got a couple of pictures. This first one is of Déla nailing her vault landing.
This next picture is of her performing her floor routine. Apparently she was the only one on her team to remember the whole routine. Good for her!
Her team came in second place (of three).
Sunday was the championship race for cross country. This is an event for 4th grade and above. That means August participated. I caught hi stretching out beforehand.
Here he is at the starting line at the beginning of the race (with the circle around him, obviously).
And here he is crossing the finish line.
Finally on the way to school Déla came across a leaf as big as her head.
Have a good weekend.
