School pictures came back.
For Xavier it was his first school picture. It’s not even a great picture, to be honest, but it really does capture him at this moment in time.
As I picked him up from preschool one of his teachers was handing out the packets to parents. He came out and saw me and then he saw the packet in my hand and took an immediate interest and said something along the lines of “Oh, it’s my picture.”
What was interesting was how he wanted to hold his picture on the way home. It was sort of like he had won an award. He clutched it to his chest and held it close the whole way home.
I should have taken a picture of him holding his picture. He was so proud and had a huge smile on his face. Now he has a picture he can can get hung on the wall along his his siblings.
