So I’m participating in NaBloPoMo and one of the tools BlogHer has available to help writers get through the month successfully are some prompts to help bloggers have something to… er… blog about. This is a great idea, only there’s a small problem with it. There are not prompts for every day of the month.
Myself, I’m not so sure I need the prompts but have looked them over to generate some inspiration. There is one prompt I know I will be using, but that’s going to be later.
BlogHer has offered up the prompts, which is great, but only for the weekdays. Why? I understand the weekends are supposed to be freeform, but this feels dumb. If we are supposed to blog every day, why not have a prompt for every day? Granted as bloggers we should have our own internal prompts. We wouldn’t be online posting about whatever it is we are posting about if we didn’t already have something to say. And no, there is no expiration date on the prompts that BlogHer offers, just some suggested dates.
Still, it would have been nice had BlogHer offered up a full 30 writing prompts in order to coincide with the whole of NaBloPoMo.
I’m probably coming across like a bit of a jerk here. What am I complaining for?
