Tevye, you turn 6 months old today. Where did the time go?
Well, I sort of know where it went.
It’s been a crazy busy six months. First the packing up and moving because of the remodel in our house, then the end of the school year, then vacation to Massachusetts, then the beginning of the school year, and here we are. All the while you’re just hanging out not letting people forget about you.
You weren’t planned, you weren’t expected, but we are happy you are here.
At 6 months you have two of your front teeth in. I almost forgot how sharp those things can be.
You’re beginning to sit upright for a little when we place you in that position. You don’t sit up on your own and you don’t stay upright long, but it’s just a matter of time. Rolling over, well, you’ve got that down.
There’s a disc toy you sit in and can sort of bounce up and down and play with the toys. You love that. Dela loved it. Ciaran and Xavier didn’t enjoy it nearly as much. It is interesting to see how you are similar to your siblings in certain ways and vastly different in others.
And those siblings love you. Each and every one of them enjoys you. Xavier, who we were worried would find reasons to hate you having usurped his role as the “baby” in the family seems to be the one who likes you the most.
Sleep. The nap schedule is still…. well, wonky. You sleep mostly through the night, but you are sleeping in our bed. At least you sleep. Oh man, I don’t know how we would manage if you didn’t sleep.
We’ll be introducing solid food shortly. Get ready. I know I am.
Happy half-birthday Tevye.
