A couple of milestones this week. The Cub Scouts ended their year with a crossing over ceremony. This is done usually to commemorate the WEBELO scouts moving up to BOy Scouts, but this year all the dens got in on the action, starting off with the Tiger Cubs, which meant Ciaran was one of the first.
The bigger deal was for the WEBELO scouts. Not only were they crossing over into Boy Scouts, they worked really hard to earn the Arrow Of Light award, which is the only thing you can earn as a Cub Scout that carries over to Boy Scouts.
He was (rightfully) proud of this accomplishment. He had been looking forward to this for a long while.
Laura and I were part of the ceremony as well, though we didn’t really need to be.
While he was glad to be moving up to Boy Scouts it was the Arrow Of Light award that he is most proud of, and this year the boys all got plaques through a generous donation.
Friday (today as I am assembling this post) was the last day of school.
Dela went out with friends but I took the boys to the zoo after school.
