This year my life is so hectic I am unable to plan out and execute my normal Beatles Week posts. I am, however, able to get something posted, so here we go. Tell Me Why and BeatleSongs have no real information regarding these recordings.
The first Christmas single sent out to members of their fan club was in 1963. The idea was to send something to the growing legion of fans who had sent in letters but were getting no response. Fans in the UK got this in December of 1963. US fans would not get it until the following year.
