Is it just me or was the half-time show at this year’s Super Bowl completely underwhelming? Bruno Mars and Beyonce tried to bring some excitement, but this just didn’t feel like something worthy of a milestone. There were no surprises. I think Beyonce or Bruno Mars were supposed to be a surprise, but that just didn’t happen becuase the news got out they were participating as well.
And while I like Coldplay, for such an American institution as the Super Bowl is, wouldn’t an American band be more appropriate for this anniversary? I’m not saying bands from other countries shouldn’t play the half-time show, but for something that is meant to be an anniversary celebration, Coldplay just doesn’t seem like a “first choice” – I was bewildered about it before the game and my fears were confirmed. It was a lackluster half-time show.
Who so you think would have done a better job?
