I have talked about my current exercise regimen before, and yes, I’m going to talk about it again, but perhaps not in the way you might expect.
And yes, I’m certainly going to make mention of the fact that I don’t enjoy exercising. It is actually sort of important to the point of this post.
Since City Cycle opened up at the end of April I have gone rather regularly, usually 3 times a week. There have been some weeks I have not gone at all, such as when I was at Boy Scout camp in August, or in Ireland in December.
Since the only time I can make it to a spin class is 5:30 in the morning, I have been limited to when those classes are scheduled. In the past it has been Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. There has been a change recently to the schedule where the Wednesday 6am class has been shifted to 5:30 in the morning. That means I am now going 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday.
Four days a week, 5:30 in the morning, doing something I rather dislike.
Uh, yay?
Today, at the Wednesday class there was somebody who was attending their 100th class. How do I know this? They were called out and celebrated for it. That got me to thinking “How many classes have I been to?”
There is a record of the classes I have attended on City Cycle’s website. Going through my attendance record I counted, as of this morning, 126 classes attended. The studio has been open less than a year. 126 times that I’ve gotten up early to do this thing I do not enjoy, but I also know it is doing me good. 126 times I have tried to be, if not jovial, at least not unpleasant, which can be difficult since I’m not a morning person.
While I won’t hit 150 by the time the studio celebrates its 1 year anniversary, but if the 4 day a week schedule holds, certainly before the school year is over.
I am not sure how I should feel about that.
