Last Saturday was one of the busiest we have had in a while. August was at a robotics extravaganza, Xavier was at his baseball game and went to a birthday party, Déla served at a funeral and had a birthday party to attend, along with a couple of other items I know I am forgetting. Me? I was at the Cub Scout pinewood derby almost all morning.
Ciárán came in 3rd. Xavier’s car didn’t place.
That afternoon Ciárán participated in a karate demonstration with his dojo at the Cherry Blossom Festival in the Seattle Center.
He participated in a couple of group demonstrations.
Then he was the only one who did a weapons demonstration. I am extremely proud of him. This video is him doing the “kata” demonstration followed by a more practical application of the exercises. Then at the end is a “blink and you’ll miss it” snippet of him breaking a board which the whole group did.
At the end of the whole demonstration there was a bit of a gratuitous breaking of boards.
That night we played a couple of games, including Exploding Kittens.
On to something that isn’t Ciárán…
A couple of days this week Tevye has put on a puppet show after lunch.
One day I was putting laundry away and saw this in Tevye’s room. This is his favorite stuffed animal, Tiggs.
Finally, it’s been really nice weather so we had lunch outside.
That’s going to be it for this week.
