Today is the last day of school – well, sort of. Tuesday was the last day for August as he graduated 8th grade, Wednesday the last day for Xavier as preschool ended, then today for the other kids. Laura isn’t done yet as public school still has two weeks to go.

Sunday was the Baccalaureate Mass celebrating the 8th graders. August was one of the readers at the mass. That meant he was part of the procession into mass.

Here he is doing the reading.

With some additional time free now that he isn’t in preschool, Tevye got a few rounds in of his favorite game.

Last night was the actual graduation ceremony. The following were not shot by me  as I was too far back in the audience. (Thank you Maria!)

The kids were supposed to walk up, get their diploma, come to the front, pose for a picture, then exit. August did not do that because he knew we were so far back and wouldn’t get a good picture.

I did get this picture of August just after the ceremony.

Today at the end of year mass Déla was honored for being a sacristan during the school masses this past school year.

August would have been honored along with Déla, but he was home with Grace who was down for nap.

The school year ended the way it always does – with popsicles.

Alright, that’s going to be it for me this time. Plenty of stuff going on still so I should have a solid entry next “Phriday” as well.
