I know it’s been a while, but it’s difficult to type with your hand in a splint, but that is a blog post for another time. Let’s get into it because there is a lot. As usual St.Patrick’s Day was a big event, but this year was even more significant.
Since last St. Patrick’s Day I have had two other kids take up Irish Dance.
I wasn’t at the kids’ first shows but fortunately there were others at those shows who were able to get some pictures and share them with me (including a couple from Laura). Here is Xavier during his first show.

Xavier isn’t the only one who started Irish Dance.

Here is Tevye at his first performance.

It’s not very good but here is video of his first show – I really do wish I had been able to be there, but am grateful to have been able to see it at least.

Xavier is really enjoying himself with Irish dance.

I love this shot of the little kids watching the bigger ones perform.

Then there was this, a performance I was finally able to attend.

Xavier seems to be getting more confident each time.

My favorite shot from this show, and I wish I was the one who took it.

Then there was the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

And yes, Tevye danced in it…

Well, sort of…

The empire has a bit of Irish in them.

Here we are with Aunt Maura which was a nice surprise to run into her. Glad she got to see them dance in the parade.

Then there was the big show at the Seattle Center.

I wasn’t able to get much good video of that show, but here is what I do have, and look for a cameo by Grace in the lower left corner.
So much else has gone on, but this was a big enough capsule of our life for this time.
