It’s been a while, I know, so here is a few random pictures from the last couple of years.
Just before Thanksgiving Déla and I traveled to Arizona and they got to dance in the western U.S. regional competition. I mentioned this and posted a different picture a few days ago. Here is a very different one, where you can actually see their face. They didn’t place with their individual competition, but the two teams they were on both won medals.
This past summer as part of the summer school program Laura was coordinating each Friday saw different cultural enrichment programs in the afternoon. As Laura was the coordinator for the academic program we got to visit and see a few of these. One of these was Reptile Man and kids got to literally get hands on with various reptiles. Here is Grace with an alligator on her head.
A year ago we had a big snow storm. Here is Tevye and Grace wit the snowman they made in the back yard. Well, they sort of directed the project, but didn’t actually do the lifting.
This past summer Laura took the 3 teenagers to the east coast on a short whirlwind trip to look at colleges. I decided to take the three younger ones on an overnight trip to see Mt. St. Helens, but it was a complete bust. You couldn’t see it for the smoke in the sky. For the 2nd day of the trip instead of going around the volcano as I had planned, we went to the coast. That was a much better idea and we had a great time.
Here is Jessie showing off the band uniform for performances during football games.
I know I mentioned it somewhere, but I did take the older kids to Ireland the summer of 2019. Here they are with my sister in Derry. She’s living in Belfast now, so it was neat to visit her there.
Alright, that’s going to be enough for now. Maybe I can get around to getting some proper posts up in the near future.
